*Please note that if a payment due date falls on a weekend or holiday, payments will be accepted next business day without penalty*
Cash and Check are accepted. Credit Card (MC, Visa, Amex and Discover) are also accepted, however a transaction fee will be added to the amount
**We do not recommend using bill pay, as payments may take up to 14 days and come in without a postmark date. If a bill pay is received AFTER the due date it will be considered late.**

Installment Payments Schedule and Interest Charges
Jan. 1st– Feb. 10th | 1st installment due. During this time frame any installment(s) paid -No interest is due |
Feb. 11th-28th | 2nd installment due with 1.5 % interest. During this time frame, any installment(s) must be paid with 1.5% interest added. |
Mar. 1st-31st | 3rd installment due with 3% interest. During this time frame, any installments must be paid with 3% interest added. |
Apr. 1st-30th | 4th installment due with 4.5 % interest. During this time frame, any installments or remaining balance must be paid with 4.5% interest added. |
May 1st-5th | 6 % interest on remaining installment(s) / balance. |
May 6th-31st | 6% interest on remaining installment(s) / balance plus $2.00 notice fee |
After May 31st-make payments to Monroe County Treasurer:
Jun. 1st-30th | 7.5 % interest, plus $2.00 notice fee |
Jul. 1st-31st | 9 % interest, plus $2.00 notice fee |
Aug. 1st-20th | 10.5 % interest, plus $2.00 notice fee, plus advertising charge |
After Aug. 20th | Contact Monroe County Treasury at 753-1200 for amount due |

School Tax Payment Information (Bills are mailed and should be received by first week of September)
Towns of the first class are obligated under New York State law to receive school taxes for public school districts within their jurisdiction. Tax rates are set by the school district.
If you are making PAYMENT IN FULL, mail or deliver your payment to Sarah Lobene, Tax Receiver, 1605 Buffalo Road, Rochester, NY 14624. Full payments must be paid on or before October 1st to avoid service fees.
Full payment made October 2 through October 31 require a 2% interest fee.
Full payments made from November 1 through November 18: Add 5%. Make checks payable to “Monroe County Treasurer”, P.O. Box 14420, Rochester, NY 14614 or pay in person at the Monroe County Clerks office at 39 West Main St., Room B-2.
Installment Payments
The 1st installment is paid to the Town Receiver and is due on or before September 15th. Installment payments must include the service fee. If you miss paying the 1st payment by September 15th there is a grace period from September 16-20: Add 1% to installment.
If you miss this window the installment option is no longer available.
The 2nd and 3rd payments only: Make check payable to “Monroe County Treasurer”. Installments are remitted to: “Monroe County Treasury”, P.O. Box 14420, Rochester, NY 14614 or pay in person at the Monroe County Clerks office at 39 West Main St., Room B-2 in Rochester.
